Weekend Sports

Good evening and welcome to this week's edition of Weekend Sports

with your host ...

Alex Johnson.

Friday evening's weather was the perfect backdrop for a little pick-up game.

I went three for three in the bottom of the sixth to put Team Johnson ahead of our invisible (but no less present) opponents.

Team Invisible brought in four runs in the top of the seventh after I forgot to bring my glove out into the field.

Where is that glove?

Luckily, I have incredible hand-eye coordination and caught three fly balls with my bare hands in the eighth for a quick three up/three down.

After that, I needed a little break. As I always say: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

In the bottom of the ninth, the pressure was on.

With my lightning-fast speed, I brought in the winning run.

We now take a break from this regularly scheduled program to bring you a few shots of mediocre Virginia football, courtesy of my parents:

And we're back.

On Sunday, I began my training for the Tour de France 2035.

This was not my favorite part:

In fact, I pretty much hated the whole experience, as everyone on the Greenway that afternoon can attest.

I think I'll stick to what I'm good at - sports involving balls and the playground.

See you next time on a brand new edition of Weekend Sports!
