Giving Thanks

On this holiday eve, Alex would like to share some things for which he gives thanks.

He is thankful for food . . .

. . . and drink . . .

. . . and his sippy cup, which he loves.

Alex is thankful for warm clothes (especially ones that are fuzzy and animal-themed).

He is thankful for family,

and for old friends, like his buddy Sam Sachs.

He is thankful that he was able to go to his first UVA football game.

And he is even more thankful that this terrible season is almost over.

Alex is thankful for his sweet ride . . .

. . . and mom is thankful that he is still (barely) light enough to carry.

He gives thanks for play time with daddy.

And his family gives thanks for a happy, healthy little boy.

First kiss

A few weeks ago, Alex got his first kiss from sweet Charlotte Mattson. See how the story unfolds.

Six Months Old!

Here are six of our favorite fall pictures, in honor of Alex's half birthday.

Strolling with Oliver.

Lounging around with Grandma Cookie.

Sitting up all by myself.

Showing off my pearly whites.

Looking dashing in my new shoes.

Can't wait to see what next month brings!

Trick - or - Treat

Alex had so much trouble deciding what to dress up as this Halloween. He considered donning his skull-and-crossbones gear and going as a pirate.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

He thought about going as a skeleton ...

... that glows in the dark.

Scary, huh?

Alas, he decided to be the Frog Prince . . .

. . . in hopes that he would receive a kiss from a beautiful princess like his neighbor Macy.

Instead, he just got a kiss from mom.

Here, the Frog Prince is en route to see his buddy, Oliver . . .

. . . the Grizzly Bear.

Frog and Bear pose for innumerable pictures.

Doesn't the Frog look thrilled?

Alex's lack of enthusiasm for this little exercise could be attributed to one of three things:

a) his costume;
b) he missed his afternoon nap;
c) the fact that everyone but him seemed to be getting candy.

or maybe it was
d) all of the above.
